Mid-morning one Saturday, an SUV was moving north in the southbound lanes. This vehicle was reportedly traveling well above the posted speed limit before it crashed into a business. In the beginning, authorities believed that people had been trapped inside the building. Four victims were removed from the building.
The four people inside of the building had to be transported to nearby hospitals for treatment of the injuries that they suffered. The victims include the 60-year-old owner of the store who was said to be in critical condition. Also taken to a hospital was the 24-year-old driver of the SUV. Officials believe that impaired driving due to drugs may have played a role in this car crash, but await results from the lab.
When one is inside shopping, waiting for an appointment or simply sitting at home, that individual does not imagine being involved in a serious auto accident. This motor vehicle crash in Colorado likely came as a shock to all those inside the building who are now recovering from their injuries.
