Colorado teen killed in fatal car accident
A tragic car accident claimed the life of a teenager. The 17-year-old was killed in the car accident that happened on Monday in the early morning hours. One of the drivers reportedly ran a red light and was driving at a high rate of speed at the time of the collision, according to Colorado officers.Reportedly, the accident happened a little after midnight. The collision apparently ensued when the driver of a Ford SUV ran a red light. The SUV slammed into the Chevy sedan that was being driven by the teenager. Medical personnel arrived at the scene and transported the driver of the Ford to the hospital for treatment, but the exact details of his condition are not specified. Sadly, the teen lost his life in the crash.Authorities determined that the driver of the Ford could have been driving at an excessive rate of speed at the time of the crash. It’s also thought that alcohol may have contributed. Officers are waiting on the release of the Ford’s driver before charging or arresting him.
